We Are Farming Minds was established to break the stigma surrounding mental health in the farming community in Herefordshire. We provide the following services and training to help support our comminity - click on a button to find out more:

Free Support Line

Farming is 24/7. Just like our support line.

If you are a Herefordshire farmer in need of someone to talk to, wanting counselling or are worried about someone, please call or text to speak to someone in confidence.

We can put you in contact with a trained counsellor in as little as one week, and we’ll also fund a series of counselling sessions for any Herefordshire-based farmer in emotional distress.

Counselling

We offer FREE confidential counselling services with qualified professionals located across Herefordshire.

Men in Agriculture Social Group

FREE Social events

Calling all men working in Agriculture! Are you too old for young farmers, but not ready to hang up your wellies?  MIA social events are the perfect place for you to connect with fellow farmers.

MIA runs monthly, from October to March.

Looking for a break from the daily grind? We offer a variety of fun evenings, featuring guest speakers, comedy nights, and more!

Join us and:

  • Network with other experienced farmers
  • Learn from industry experts
  • Enjoy a night of laughs and camaraderie

Please note that these events are only open to those who are 18 years old and upwards. Don’t miss out on MIA’s monthly social events.

One Foot in the Grain Social Event

Calling all farmers over 50!

Looking to stay connected to the agricultural community and enjoy some good company?
Look no further than One Foot in the Grain!

What to expect:

  •  Monthly social event at different locations throught Herefordshire : Revisit the fields and see what's new in the industry on our monthly farm tours!
  • Free lunch: Enjoy a delicious meal and conversation with fellow farmers.
  • Smiles and laughter: Guaranteed! We create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Events are normally held on the last Friday of every month.

Transport available!

Calling all farming ladies!

Take a well-deserved break and join us for some fun and relaxation at Women What Farm events. Held monthly, these events offer a variety of activities to take time for yourself and connect with fellow women in agriculture.

Here's what you can expect at WWF:

  • A monthly range of events to meet with fellow women in farming.

      Examples of events:

  • Relax and unwind with a massage, facial, or other pampering session.
  • Hit the water: Enjoy a paddleboarding session and take in the scenery.
  • Laugh the night away: Unwind with a comedy night and enjoy some good company.

Women What Farm is a great way to:

  • De-stress and recharge
  • Bond with other women in farming
  • Discover new hobbies and interests
  • Join us and create lasting memories!

Free Mental Health Awareness Training

We understand the unique challenges faced by the farming community.

That's why we're offering fully funded Mental Health Awareness training, in partnership with Herefordshire Mind.

This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills to:

  • Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health issues
  • Understand the impact of stress on farmers
  • Support yourself and others in your community
  • Access available resources
