Administrator

Are you organised, approachable and passionate about making a difference to people’s lives?

We’re looking for a friendly, capable and proactive Administrator to play a vital role in keeping our organisation running smoothly. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for our charity, helping supporters, donors, volunteers and members of the public connect with the right people. Behind the scenes, you’ll make sure our records, communications, resources and day-to-day administration are well organised and up to date.

What will you be doing?

You’ll have a wonderfully varied workload, including:

  • Being a welcoming first point of contact for enquiries by phone and email, directing people to the appropriate team member.
  • Supporting our fundraising and donations processes, including cash management, Gift Aid and donor records.
  • Looking after our donors and supporters, including sending thank-you correspondence and maintaining accurate mailing lists.
  • Keeping our central store organised, ordering stationery and promotional materials, and coordinating regular WAFM merchandise orders.
  • Providing administrative support for events and corporate sponsorship.
  • Supporting our volunteers and training activities.
  • Arranging meetings, managing diaries and taking minutes when required.
  • Coordinating newsletter distribution and maintaining electronic records.
  • Providing administrative support for funding bids.
  • Assisting with stock takes and keeping our resources organised.
  • Making updates to our website to ensure information remains current and useful.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and happy to get stuck in. You’ll be comfortable juggling different tasks, communicating with a wide range of people and paying attention to the small details that make a big difference. You don’t need to have worked for a charity before although being a charity volunteer or part of the farming community would provide valuable experience. What matters to us is that you bring:

  • Excellent proven organisation and time-management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using email, Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling financial and donor information.
  • A friendly, professional and approachable manner.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a supportive member of a small team.
  • A willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks.

Why join us?

Working for a small charity means your contribution really matters. You’ll have the opportunity to see the difference your work makes, support a passionate team and help us deliver services that make a positive difference to the farming community. If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping things organised, enjoys helping others and would love to use your skills for a cause that matters, we’d love to hear from you.
